Happy 4th Birthday Callie!

Today is a very special day...today my puppy, Callie, turns 4! It was kind of weird not having Mom here to celebrate her birthday, but I did everything I could to make it special!

This past Saturday we decided that we would take a wonderful drive through new parts of Washington, at least new to me!!

A different view from the Space Needle!

When Mom and I were visiting the Space Needle I started thinking about how I always see photos from the top of the Space Needle, but never the ride up or down! So I am going to share my videos that I took from the elevator window!!

Mom's Last Night in WA...

For Christmas Dad and Karen gave Mom and I gift cards to Purple Cafe and Wine Bar. I had been to Purple once before for Happy Hour, but I had never had a full meal there. So I was very excited to be able to go eat there!!

 Our appetizer...Bacon and caramelized onions. It is delicious!!

 Mom ordered the Grilled Prime Sirloin which is roasted new potatoes, grilled broccolini, caramelized cippolini onions and red wine-mushroom jus. For a sirloin I have to say that this was a melt in your mouth meal! I have never tasted a steak that was this amazing!

 Everyone knows my love for pasta, so I ordered the Basil Pesto Pasta.  The pasta has pennini, kalamata olives, fresh tomato, pine nuts and I added the extra prawns. I have eaten a lot of pasta in my life and this dish by far is the best pasta dish that I have ever eaten!

 This is a restaurant the I might not go to all the time, but I will definitely go back every few months! Everything I have eaten there has been amazing and I think that everyone should go to Purple Cafe and Wine Bar if you are in the Seattle Area. There are four locations, Bellevue, Kirkland, Woodinville and Seattle.
