Mom got her wish...Snow!!

Before Mom ever came to Washington the one thing she wanted to see while she was here was snow. I kept checking the forecast and I kept having to tell her that if she wanted to see snow we would have to take a trip into the mountains.

Over the weekend we finally saw a possibility of snow for Wednesday, but the forecasters said that it would be very little and it wouldn't stick! Well...they were wrong...again!!

We got about 2-3" of snow and we still have the majority of it on the ground! It is so pretty and Mom is very happy!!

Pike Place and the Seattle Aquarium

Since the Monday after christmas was a holiday for me, Mom and I decided that we would go to Pike Place and also go use part of our Seattle City Pass and go to the aquarium.

This is the major fish market! If you purchase a whole salmon they will throw the fish!

Here are some of the pictures from the Seattle Aquarium!

Trip to Victoria, B.C. with Mom! ♥

Since Mom is in Washington for over 2 weeks we decided that a cool thing to do would be to take a day trip up to Victoria, B.C. Dad told me about the Victoria Clipper, which is a 2 hour and 45 minute boat ride that leaves from Downtown Seattle and got directly to Victoria.

We arrived at 10:45 a.m. and we had about 6 hours to walk around the city and see all of the sites! We started out heading towards Craigdarroch Castle, and I am sad to admit that I got us lost on the way there! A very nice bus driver asked us where we were headed and he took us where we needed to go! The castle is in the middle of a neighborhood and it is absolutely amazing!

While walking around Victoria there are two primary buildings that you will see, and they are both gorgeous! The first building is the British Columbia Parliament Building and the second is The Fairmont Empress Hotel. You can't really walk through the Parliament Building, but walking around it is amazing.  The Fairmont Empress is beautiful inside and out! The main thing that the Empress is known for is its High Tea that they serve every day! The high tea is $49/person and even though we didn't do the high tea this time I will do it the next time I go!

If you ever have the opportunity to go to Victoria I would recommend that you take a day trip and enjoy the sights!!

Merry Christmas!! ♥

This year was the year to start making new Christmas traditions. With not having much time to take off I was not able to go back to Fla. for Christmas, so Mom made it a lot easier and she came out to Washington! All of our Christmas festivities started on Christmas eve when we went to Dad's house for a delicious taco bar and presents. (The reason that we did gifts on Christmas Eve was because Megan had to work on Christmas Day) When Mom and I got back to the apartment that evening we made pecan rolls because I wasn't going to lose all of my traditions in one year!

On Christmas morning Mom and I opened our stockings and gifts and then ate our homemade Pecan Rolls. After all of our morning festivities I made two pumpkin pies and apple dumplings. We headed over to Dad's house for Christmas dinner and watched football!!

All in all it was a great Christmas! I hope that everyone had a great Christmas as well!!

My stocking, new snow boots, all of my movies/games (Sex and the City
Complete Series, Tudors Complete Series, Sound of Music Anniversary Edition,
Letters to Juliet and Just Dance 1&2), and my wonderful new Gator jackets!
Nana got me my penguin necklace, Dad got me the red quilted Michael
Kors purse, and Mom got me a Tiffany's Key necklace.
I got a GPS, I got Harry & Fleur's wands and Nana send me an angel for my tree!

Christie's Trip to Seattle

One of my most favorite people, Christie, took a long weekend and came out here to visit me! We had a BLAST and I can't wait until she comes out again! We took a lot of pictures so instead of posting them all on here I made a video of the pictures and even included a few videos! :-)

Snowflake Lane

One of my favorite traditions that Bellevue has is Snowflake Lane. Starting the day after Thanksgiving Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square has Snowflake Lane.
