Since Mom is in Washington for over 2 weeks we decided that a cool thing to do would be to take a day trip up to Victoria, B.C. Dad told me about the Victoria Clipper, which is a 2 hour and 45 minute boat ride that leaves from Downtown Seattle and got directly to Victoria.
We arrived at 10:45 a.m. and we had about 6 hours to walk around the city and see all of the sites! We started out heading towards Craigdarroch Castle, and I am sad to admit that I got us lost on the way there! A very nice bus driver asked us where we were headed and he took us where we needed to go! The castle is in the middle of a neighborhood and it is absolutely amazing!
While walking around Victoria there are two primary buildings that you will see, and they are both gorgeous! The first building is the British Columbia Parliament Building and the second is The Fairmont Empress Hotel. You can't really walk through the Parliament Building, but walking around it is amazing. The Fairmont Empress is beautiful inside and out! The main thing that the Empress is known for is its High Tea that they serve every day! The high tea is $49/person and even though we didn't do the high tea this time I will do it the next time I go!
If you ever have the opportunity to go to Victoria I would recommend that you take a day trip and enjoy the sights!!
